What is self storage?

Unlike traditional warehousing storage offered by logistics companies, self storage offers you full flexibility and control over how and when you wish to use your storage space. Self storage eliminates the high cost, tedious paperwork and stringent procedures that are unavoidable at large warehouses. As the name implies, self storage allows you and yourself (and of course your trusted friends and colleagues authorised by you) to store as little or as much as you need, and access your stored items as often as you wish, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, at no extra cost.

Is it safe and secure?

Self storage is very safe and secure. Entrances, exits and common corridors within our facilities are monitored by 24-hour CCTV cameras. Recordings are stored for review if it is necessary.
Customers will be assigned a unique pin code for access into the storage facility. The system identifies and records every entry and exit via this pin code to ensure that only customers and their authorised representatives have access to the facility.

Each self storage unit is armed with an individual door alarm system. The alarm will be triggered when an unauthorised entry is detected. We also invest in robust fire protection at all our facilities installing fire sprinklers and fire alarms, as well as fitting every storage unit with a sturdy fire-resistance-rated door.

How long can I store my items for? What is the minimum storage period?

You can store your items for as short as 14 days, or for as long as you wish.

Is insurance available?

What can I store?

You can store almost anything – furniture, household items, clothing, hobby collection or sports equipment for personal usage. If you own a business, you can store documents, office equipment, retail props and merchandise.

However, there are a few things you can’t store with us:

  • Hazardous materials such as explosive, inflammable goods and environmentally harmful items
  • Perishables
  • Items which are irreplaceable, such as currency, jewelry, furs and deeds
  • Living things such as animals and plants
  • Stolen or illegal goods such as drugs, firearms, contrabands, etc.

How much space do I need?

How much does storage cost?

Get a quote to view the prices for the different sizes of units available. Prices also differ from location to location. To help you get started, we offer the first month rent free when you store for a minimum of two months.

There is a one time administrative fee when you sign up a unit. You will also need to purchase a basic insurance for your protection.

What type of storage do I need?

You can choose to rent an aircon or non aircon storage unit. Aircon storage units are perfect for items that are sensitive to humidity and temperature fluctuations such as furniture, clothing, electronics, collectible toys, books, photographs, or archived documents that need long term storage.

What is included in the rent quoted?

The price quoted includes the rent for the storage unit, unlimited 24 hours x 7 days access, utility and maintenance costs. Insurance can be purchased separately during sign up.

Why should I make a reservation?

We highly recommend that you reserve your preferred storage unit. This is so that we can hold a unit of the size that meets your needs, and guarantee the price and promotional offer quoted to you for 7 working days.

How do I make a reservation?

You can make reservations online, on the phone or in person at our office. Do note our office opening hours:
Mon – Fri: 9am to 6pm
Sat: 9am – 1pm
Closed on Sundays and Public Holidays.

What is the next step after I have made a reservation?

Come over to our office to complete the registration, then we are all set for you to start enjoying the freedom of self storage. Drop in before or on the actual move-in day to sign a simple storage agreement.

Moving in

What is required during the signing up of a storage unit?

A security deposit equivalent to one-month rent, the one-time administrative fee and insurance premium, and the rent which ranges from one month to 12 months depending on the promotional offer you have selected, are payable upon sign up. We accept payment by cheque, credit cards and cash.

In addition, for personal users, you will need to present your NRIC or passport for verification. For business users, you will need to present the company business profile, company stamp, and the NRIC or passport of the employee(s) who is authorised to act on behalf of your business.

What is the contract term?

The storage agreement is on a month-by-month basis and is automatically renewed until you give us notice for termination.

How do I transport my items to the storage facility?

To keep costs low, you may move the items in on your own. There are plenty of trolleys and pallet jacks available free of charge to help you move things with ease. Every Store It! facility comes with large loading bays to facilitate bulk moving.

Nevertheless, if you need extra help with moving, you may wish to engage the services of our recommended movers.

Can I move in on the weekends or during public holidays?

You definitely can move in anytime you like after you have signed your storage agreement with us. Our service manager will activate your unique pin code immediately once the agreement has been signed. Just be sure to lock your unit with a padlock when you have moved your items into your storage unit.

How do I pay for my rent?

You can make payment via credit card, internet bank transfer, cheque, AXS stations or cash. A monthly invoice will be sent to your preferred mailing address or email address at least ten days before the next rental due date.

How do I access to my storage unit?

You can access your unit 24 hours a day, 7 days a week with the unique pin code determined by you during sign up.

During storage

Can I upsize or downsize the storage unit when my needs change?

Most definitely. If you have more or fewer things to store over time, changing the unit size isn’t a problem but your preferred size is subject to availability.

What do I need to do when I no longer need the storage unit?

We are sad to see you go. But when you wish to move out, just give us 14 days notice by phone, email or in person. On move-out day, just empty out the space and leave the unit unlocked. Our service manager will inspect the space the next working day and you will be refunded with the unused paid rental along with your security deposit within two weeks from the move out date*.
